This Privacy Policy explains how Namestake (“Namestake,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit namestake.com (the “Site”). Namestake is operated by Newviato Ventures LLC, a California limited liability company.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you submit the Namestake Protect interest form, we collect your email address. If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message.
Names you type into the name checker. The brand name you type into the name check tool is used only inside your own web browser to build the search links. It is not sent to us and we do not store it. When you click a link, you go to an outside website, which may collect information under its own policies.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit. The Site may also use cookies needed for it to work properly and securely.
How we use your information
- To contact you about Namestake Protect and answer your questions.
- To tell you about Namestake services, if you asked to hear from us. You can opt out at any time.
- To operate, maintain and secure the Site.
- To comply with the law.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run the Site and send email, such as our web host, who may use it only to provide services to us.
- When required by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
- As part of a sale, merger or transfer of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
Links to other websites
The name checker and other parts of the Site link to outside websites, such as domain sellers, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, state government sites, search engines and social media sites. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies.
How long we keep information
We keep your email address for as long as needed to respond to you and provide the services you asked about, or until you ask us to delete it.
Your choices
You may ask us to tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it, and you may unsubscribe from our emails at any time. Email us at team@namestake.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you may ask whether we share personal information with other companies for their own direct marketing. We do not share your personal information with other companies for their direct marketing purposes.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no common standard for these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
Children
The Site is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
